С 1 октября и до 1 мая 2019 года водителям придется ездить вне населенных пунктов с включенными фарами.
Поездка с включенным ближним светом фар предусмотрена требованием пункта 9.8 Правил дорожного движения. Делается это для повышения безопасности дорожного движения в затемненных участках дороги как в светлое время суток, так и в темное. Ведь именно в период с 1 октября по 1 мая день становится короче, ухудшается погода, а в связи с этим - и видимость. В условиях недостаточной видимости можно включить дальний свет фар или дополнительно противотуманные фары при условии, что это не будет ослеплять других водителей.

За игнорирование этой нормы, согласно части 2 статьи 122 Кодекса Украины об административных правонарушениях за «Нарушение водителями транспортных средств правил пользования внешними осветительными приборами или предупредительными сигналами при начале движения или изменении его направления, использование этих приборов и их переоборудование с нарушением требований соответствующих стандартов» предусмотрен штраф в размере 425 гривен.
